Agape Leadership Development
About Us

Agape Leadership Development is a homeschool group for Onslow and surrounding counties.  Our sincere hope and desire is to support homeschool families with information and organized activities that will ultimately help each family develop our "leaders of tomorrow" through unconditional, agape love.  Agape began as a group of four moms wanting to "get their homeschooled children together for some activities."  Several years later and a couple hundred more families, we continue on our mission to bring homeschoolers together in fellowship and education.

Agape Leadership Development does not meet on a weekly basis, rather we meet as often as necessary to accomplish our mission statement.  Realizing the complications this may have for some families with already hectic schedules, we offer all of our activities as "optional".  No one will ever be required to participate in any of our events.  We do earnestly hope that there are many things on our calendar that you find enriching and beneficial for your children and your homeschooling experience.

There is no membership requirement to be involved with Agape Leadership Development outside of being a homeschooler or in the process or consideration of becoming a homeschooler.  Since there are no memberships to be concerned about, there are no fees.  We only ask for adherence to any policies or payments that are customized for each individual event.  This information will be clearly communicated through our calendar and e-mails.

We encourage you to check the calendar often as we are constantly updating with events--not only for our planned events, but events that are occurring in the community.  We look forward to meeting you at an event very soon (as soon as it fits your schedule) and we wish to congratulate you on your decision to homeschool your children.

Payment Options

For the times that we do collect money in advance for an event, we mainly utilize PayPal to facilitate the transactions.  We accept PayPal payments that are drafted from your bank account or pull from your PayPal available funds.  We discourage PayPal payments made using credit cards as we incur fees for each credit card transaction.  Personal checks are also accepted as long as they are received by the due date.  Checks should be made payable to Agape Leadership Development and mailed to 133 Oakley Trail, Jacksonville, NC  28540.  Pay close attention to due dates for payments.

Box Tops for Education

As mentioned above, Agape Leadership Development does not collect membership dues, but we do collect Box Tops from all our participants.  Each Box Top is valued at $.10. Those dimes really add up! The box tops collected go to help offset the cost involved with maintaining this website and/or our annual graduation banquet.  If you don't already, we encourage you to start clipping the Box Tops for Education that can be found on the boxes/bags of products you're already using.  So . . . SAVE THOSE BOX TOPS! Get grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors, church family members involved with us! We collect them twice per year--once in October and the next in February.

To provide Christian, group activities and support to all homeschoolers in Onslow and surrounding counties through which our families will grow in fellowship one with another and in the way of the Lord, while providing the flexibility and variety essential to integrate with current curriculum schedules.
