Christian Home Educators Of Wilmington is sponsoring the 2010 CHEW Homeschool Prom on Friday, April 30, at Northside Baptist Church Family Life Center located at 2501 North College Road, Wilmington, NC 28405. Doors will open at 7 pm and the prom will end at 11 pm. The 2010 CHEW Homeschool Prom is open to all homeschoolers and their guests in New Hanover and surrounding counties. You do not need to be a CHEW member to attend.

The theme of this year's prom will be, "An Evening In Paris." Music will be by a professional DJ who is playing radio version pop and dance music. The prom will be chaperoned by parents. Food will consist of heavy hors d'oeuvres with vegetarian options.

Attire will be formal or semi-formal reflecting a Christian teen environment. Homeschool students and Alumni in grades 7 & above and their guests are welcome to attend. Early Bird Ticket Sales by 3/7 are $15.00. Advanced Ticket Sales from 3/8 - 4/28 are $20.00. Ticket sales at the door are $25.00. (Please see the Prom Ticket Sales Payment Procedure below.)

Ty Parker, owner of Bliss Photography, will do prom portraits on site. Bliss Photography will offer 5x7's at $5 and 8x10's at $10. Family members can order the portraits from her website after the prom.

Evan Scott, owner of Amazing Moments Portraits, will do candid shots during the prom and CHEW will offer copies of the CD at a nominal charge after the prom. Additionally, Amazing Moments Portraits will offer a student portrait series for a special discounted rate of $29.99 for a half hour photography session in the home or in the community.

Prom Ticket Sales Payment Procedure

1. Make a check payable to CHEW and mail it to Sheree Harrell at
252 North Channel Haven Drive, Wilmington, NC 28409.

2. Include the fully completed form at the bottom of this press release.

3. Your check will be acknowledged via email. Call 910.632.9454 if you have not received acknowledgement within 5 days of sending your check.

4. Your check will be deposited immediately unless you send a note otherwise. Your cancelled check can serve as your receipt.

5. You will not get a paper ticket. Your name will be added to the Prom List for staff at the door.
