[quote=Chanel Shannon] My family is relatively new to the area and beginning to start homeschooling our children 1st and 3rd grade I'm looking for a supportive group of families to share this journey with. I want to know all about the group and about all of the social events as well. Stephanie, the annual testing is really no big deal. They don't monitor how the child does on the test. Your child can get whatever grade on it and you can still homeschool him. I know agape in the past has had group testing where they had proctors and you did not proctor your own child's test, that way no one could question it. But I don't know what agape's plans are as of now.

Moving there next week - this our second year homeschooling our two youngest (girl, 11 & boy, 12). We homeschooled our oldest and she is in college. Looking for support and friends/activities for my kids. Would love to know more about your group & weekly/monthly activities. Also - question: yearly standardized testing - we don't do that here in KS so that part is very new to me. How do we go about doing that? If a child fails a test does the state pull them from the homeschool? (one child does not test well)

I am homeschooling my two boys this year. One is going to an online virtual high school and one is in 8th grade. I want to join the facebook page. How do I do that?

Are the events on set days of the week or are they random? My littles have dance and gymnastics during the day but want to make sure they can do these events too. Thanks!

Hi! I homeschooled my son last year and I am homeschooling both my children this next year. Should I wait to register in August?

Kay--On September 1st, the Facebook group was changed to be for C.O.R.E. members only. We sent out several notifications and pinned a notification on the group in hopes that no one would miss the information about the change. Sorry you missed that change.
